Our home office is in the north west corner of the house. We have a small network, so Trav and I are both getting the same (Al Gore invented) internet. My computer desk and laptop are approximately 3 feet north northwest of the CPU that runs Trav's desktop. We both have IE links to The Weather Channel.
When Trav and I are both on line, MY weather channel consistently gives me an outside temperature that is 3 to 5 degrees cooler than what Trav gets. (For any math impaired MBA students among us, and you know who you are, that means MY weather channel will tell me it's 55* and Trav's will tell him that it's 60*.)
Now then, ponder this Greg.
<font size="5">How does The Weather Channel know that my computer is farther north?</font>
And yes, this IS the same room with the possessed clock.

A few of things come to mind as possabilities.
1) It could be that one of yours is set to a city and state whereas the other is set to a zip code. (mine is set to my zip code)
2) The clock thinks it's funny to mess with you and have you go back and forth between the two of them.
3) Trav farted so it's warmer by his computer
4) since yours is a laptop, it gets colder when you open it
These are merely suggestions and I may need to look further into this
